About me

In May 2018, I traveled to Bali and joined a Yoga Teacher Training with some of the most wonderful Indian master yoga teachers and it was the best decision of my life! It changed me and my life completely.

My teachers: Deep and Gurumukh

But actually, the journey started much earlier. The very first time I practiced yoga was at home, with a Hatha Yoga DVD. That was about 10 years ago. However, this does not mean that I am a yoga pro. On the contrary, I still have a long way to go and so much to learn.

Before my yoga teacher training, I practiced yoga only from time to time. And at most, I only saw it as a hobby. Or not even that. Because back then, I didn’t know what yoga really was.

Still, after my first yoga practice, I immediately felt the effect that yoga had on me. Yet, I was unable or had very little interest in going deeper or learning more about it.

Meanwhile, and since my yoga teacher training, my personal yoga journey has become much deeper and more intense. Yoga is now part of my everyday life and IS my life. And therefore, I have decided to make this journey my life journey.

After completing the YTT, I traveled around and had my first experience teaching Yoga in Thailand. Almost 6 years later, I am still traveling and teaching yoga whenever the opportunity arises.

Here is the thing about me :

About me - Yoga Teacher SofiaI used to be VERY inflexible. I know what it’s like to not be able to touch your toes or do full splits. I’ve worked very hard on myself for the last 5+ years and I’d love to share my experience and tips on how you can become more flexible, too!

Increasing your flexibility also has to do with letting go. Tightness in our bodies are also related to stuck emotions, that we are still holding on to.

By letting go, you allow yourself to become more open towards life and everything in it. You allow yourself to be free from everything that’s been weighing heavy on you and everything that’s been holding you back. It is time to let go and time to be free, my love. I am here to help you.

On my blog, I will share the steps that I took to get my first yoga teaching gigs in Thailand and Nicaragua. I’ll also share my experience about my path and my yoga journey and hope that it might inspire you and others.

Now, come and practice yoga with me!
